Yesterday I stumbled upon a website of Research Guide! I downloaded the webpage and noted down his e,ail mobile number and address (home). I sent a belated Happy Teachers' Day wishes to him that made me light and happy. Finally I could thank my teacher my sincere wishes though late. He has definitely made an impact in my professional style and success. I am thankful to him for sculpturing me what I am today. Equally the credits go to another whom also I found to be the Director of NAAC, Dr. H. A. Rangnath. He is for me HAR from Department of Zoology, University of Mysore; my days in there from 1981 to 1983. I had met him later also when he was Professor there. Afterwards he moved out to become VC of Bangalore University. Man of great knowledge and man of inspiration. I give credit to him as well. I am elated!!! For I am able to find the order of the finance department Mnistry of Finance GOI yesterday. This order is about the enhancement of Dearness Allowance to those Central Government Employees who are still languishing in Pre-revised Pay Scales. The DA was enhanced from the then 47% to 54% wef 01.07.2008 to 31.12.2008. In absence of this order manyteachers here in Daman did not get the benefit at the right time. However my perseveance paid out. I could find it through google search engine. One good engine at that I am sure and beleive.

Sixth Pay Commission or UGC Sclaes of Pay for teachers of my college in Daman? Not yet. The MHRD took its time to say that the UT Administration id free to do so but under consultattion with Ministry of Home!? Well now all eye and ears at MHA; Ministry of Harassment Affairs, errr..., Ministry of Home Affairs.

I shall be back with this news strings about the development as early as possible.

Lincoln, The Teacher, School and the letter

It is really worthwhile reading the above assay of reality. It is also true that reality bites, bites very deeply. A thought..... No parent will write any letter to teacher in first go, because the parent wants only accolades from wards nothing less and inspires to acquire every talent good & bad equally. Lincoln is not here, neither is that teacher to whom the letter is written. Truth is time has changed. I for one feel in reflecting the reality you have been very generous. I as a teacher know how the parents feel about the teacher, and also as a parent (frankly) know what I want. Loncolns are gone, vapourised,,,, teachers are also gone,,,,,thinned out in the selfish net partly due to self and partly due to policy makers. Schools are gone.....they have becomes grounds of breeding literate uneducated lots. Situation has become very hopeless. Whom to blame?

good values are everlasting and key to healthy, peaceful and happy life. Look at the staement made by a fellow participant, it is despair to dream good.

I very strongly desire that Lincolns, teachers, schools come back to life like PHOENIX again as early as possible.

I as a teacher in a pretty old College serving for the last 15 years have seen nothing good. Most of them were camouflaged as cows, in reality were power mongers, money launderers, greedy. When the truth was revealed how I felt ashamed for holding these as good valued teacher fellows! Every one (here absolutism holds good!!!!) is an intending politician wanting to make good of time and power they have got for making money. Teaching? forget that. They have been teaching nothing but politics in the name of various subjects like, Commerce, Political Science, Economics, Chemistry, Maths, Physics etc. The major problem is that this attitude has strengthened in percolating to the newer layers of young-not-so-young teachers and will continue to do so. It hurts, now, to have decided to become a teacher in a such environs. Still I respect my gurus who made me to decide to become teacher. Even Lincolns, Teachers, Schools shall have no place in this modern world.

Why should there not be two sectors in education field? (1) for teaching professionals onlt, (2) for those who wish to continue to engage themselves in research. Will this not solve the issue of PhD versus non-PhD. Anyone interested in discussion?

A few days back I was surfing the internet and found some site where it was stated that Haeckel's theory "Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny" has been taken to task and he was proved a fraud!!. I could not believe it! After completing the reading and looking into the photos and the statements made therein I could understand and I was shattered. I has a few days back taught students that Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny.

The very next day I went in to the class of Second Year BSc and expressed all the details including some handouts. I apolozised for having taught them something that was fraud. I have bookmarked the site and am on toes to know what other theories we have firm believes are wrong or are manipulated to meet personal fame name and money(?). Right now I do not completely remember the site name, but definitely shall bring it to you inthe next communion here.
